Iron and Sulfur are two of the most common elements found in nature, while both are extremely important for every day life, but both are a nuisance in water and can cost you money and frustration.

Iron staining is a common problem in homes today. Iron staining on fixtures, as well as dingy clothes and sometimes even hair will turn a reddish orange color. Iron bacteria may be present in water with iron, creating a slimy build up in standing water (such as your toilet tank) and can smell like rotting vegetation.

Sulfur is easily detected by the presence of a “rotten egg” odour, and is sometimes associated with yellow staining. All of these problems can be taken care of with fairly little to no maintenance with our Chemical Free Iron-Sulfur Guard.
